I’m the owner of the Center for Creative Counseling.

Whether you need help with grief, pregnancy loss, parenting, or mom guilt, I want to work with you. I’ve lived it, I completely get the struggle, and I’m here to help get you through.

I’m a loving mom who doesn’t always love every single aspect of being a mom.

I love coffee more than a human should. And I find that I guard my free time like it’s precious treasure. When I’m not on mom duty, I might get all productive and squeeze in some self-care or work on my business. Or I might just binge some British Baking Show and plan a trip somewhere. 😁

I’ve hit some bumps along my motherhood journey.

I have dealt with…

  • the pain of recurrent pregnancy loss
  • the emotional struggle of being a mom
  • the trapped feeling that comes with anxiety

And I know mom guilt like the back of hand.

I’ve been the most sleep-deprived, irritable version of myself ever, and I know how it feels to be totally drained and still have to push forward.

But thanks to some excellent training, personal therapy, and years of experience in the field, I also know how to navigate rough waters.

That’s why I’m so passionate about working with women like you. I get the struggle, and I’ve learned how to manage it.

In addition to being a mom, I’ve got some solid experience on my side. I’ve worked with kids and families for nearly 20 years, and helped lots of women tackle their mental health needs and improve their relationships.

That work, combined with my art therapy background, allows me to provide personalized treatment that’s right for you. This could include things like talk therapy, art therapy, coparenting work, or family therapy.

I work well with women who are open to feedback, who are ready to tackle their unresolved stuff, and who don’t mind a little humor. 😊

If you’re someone who is looking for a way to better connect with your family, feel better about your relationships, and most importantly, feel better about you, then you are in the right place.

What to Expect in Therapy

1. I take time to get to know you, and our time will be well-spent.

During our first sessions, I will work to understand not only where you are struggling, but also who you are as a person. We will work together on this, and at a pace that works for you. I use assessments and activities that explore things like personal history, family of origin, identity, sticking points, and your experiences in relationships.

2. You decide what you want to work on (with me as your guide).

My therapy style is collaborative. I won't boss you around or tell you what do. Think of me as your navigator. You are in the driver's seat of your treatment and I'm by your side, helping to guide the way. You set the course, and I will help you get there. I will point to things, ask questions, share observations, and give feedback, but you will take the wheel.

3. I tailor my approach and design interventions to fit your needs.

After getting to know you, discussing my feedback, and deciding on goals, we will design your road map (aka treatment plan) & get to work. This could include talk therapy, art therapy, group therapy, or family therapy. Sessions might feature things like identity exploration, parenting skills work, coparenting strategies, and family bonding activities, just to name a few.
