Clinical Disclaimer

NOTE: The Center for Creative Counseling website is not a substitution for therapy or clinical supervision.

All articles, information, blog posts, and recommendations are intended for educational purposes only.

Articles are authored by experts in their field, but the content should not be considered professional or medical advice. Although the articles are based on current clinical research, readers should always rely on the support and clinical guidance of a contracted professional.

Affiliate Disclosure

An integral part of our high-quality content is the information we provide with regard to useful resources, tools, services, and products.

The Center for Creative Counseling may recommend helpful products, books, and other resources via  the practice blog. Product recommendations on the site are intended for educational and self-development purposes only. Some of these product recommendations and resources suggestions may include affiliate links, including links to Amazon, and as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. All blog posts that include affiliate links provide an affiliate disclosure at the start of each post informing visitors of the potential for affiliate links.

NOTE: In order to avoid a dual relationship, current clients are never given affiliate links and they are never directed to purchase anything through the website. Any product/resource suggestions provided to current clients are only intended as an additional resource to supplement their treatment and completely voluntary. When product/resource suggestions are shared with current clients, they never contain affiliate links in order to avoid an additional seller/customer relationship. Product/resources suggestions are not a substitution for therapy and do not imply prescribed clinical recommendations. No purchase of any kind is necessary to receive therapy services.

I only recommend resources, products, and services that I find to be useful. If you happen to make a purchase using an affiliate link, I will earn a small commission, at no additional cost to you.

My recommendations are based on my own experience with the product or service, as well as a TON of in-depth research. I only share resources, tools, products, and services that meet high standards of quality and value – I would never recommend something just to make money.

Affiliate commission helps support the practice blog and mitigates the costs of running it. A lot of time and effort goes into each article, ensuring superior content and dependable information. Any affiliate commission received helps maintain that level of quality.

Comments

Most pages and posts have comments disabled in order to protect confidentiality and ensure privacy. This also serves to clarify any potential confusion about a client-therapist relationship when using comments to seek professional advice. However, if comments are enabled on a post or page, this section explains how the information is used.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
